Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance activities within the joinery workshop and metal fabrication facility. This role ensures maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency of specialized machinery by leading a team of technicians, executing preventative maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

• Supervise, train, and schedule daily tasks for maintenance technicians and assistants.
• Develop and execute PM schedules for all joinery and metalworking machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failure rapidly.
• Coordinate with external contractors and OEM technicians for specialized machinery servicing.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ordering critical components to minimize production downtime.
• Enforce strict health and safety protocols, ensuring all machinery guards and extraction systems function correctly.
• Oversee general factory infrastructure, including compressed air systems, power distribution, and dust extraction.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within joinery, furniture manufacturing and metal fabrication environments.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Deep understanding of specialized machinery, including:
  • Joinery: CNC Beam Saw s, CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws, spindle molders, Hot press, Cefla finishing line and central dust extraction systems.
  • Metal Fabrication: CNC laser, press brakes, MIG/TIG welding machines, Sand blasting, Powder coating and compressors.

  Skills:
  
  Strong ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
• Education:
  
  Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent technical trade certification.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet production deadlines. Familiar with ERP system.
