Job Purpose
To lead and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions, ensuring compliance with corporate quality standards, project specifications, and industry regulations. The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems across production and project activities.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain corporate QA procedures and QC processes in line with ISO
9001 and FSC standards. - Prepare and written procedures for production QC and corporate QA.
- Implement digital systems for quality tracking and reporting (e.g., dashboards, barcode systems).
- Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process checks, and final product audits across departments (Joinery, Metal, Polishing, Packaging).
- Ensure only approved materials are used, and all work complies with approved drawings and method statements.
- Control non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions in coordination with relevant managers.
- Maintain quality records, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and method statements according to the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).
- Establish and maintain a QC Inspection Report, with qualitative analysis and recommendations.
- Establish and lead monthly operation meetings with key stakeholders where trends and improvement recommendations and initiatives are discussed, agreed and launched.
- Prepare audit reports and monitor effectiveness of quality procedures.
- Lead the QA/QC team and coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors.
- Implement training and development programs for staff to enhance quality awareness and prepare future leaders.
- Analyze customer feedback and implement measures to mitigate recurring issues.
- Drive business improvement initiatives and maintain a library of SOPs for quality processes.
- Compliance rate with ISO and project standards.
- Number of non-conformance reports closed within target time.
- Effective monthly operation meetings to launch improvement initiatives.
- Audit scores and frequency of successful audits.
- Training completion rate for QA/QC staff.
Customer satisfaction and reduction in quality-related complaints.
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC within manufacturing or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of ISO
9001, FSC, and industry standards. - Proficiency in digital quality systems and reporting tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Implement digital QA/QC tracking system within 3 months.
- Conduct training sessions for QA/QC team on updated SOPs.
- Strengthen incoming, in-process and final inspections.
- Achieve 95% compliance in internal audits within 6 months.
- Establish strong non-conformance and corrective action control.
- Maintain ISO certification and achieve zero major non-conformances annually.
- Develop future QA/QC leaders through structured training programs.
- Integrate continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
