As a Commis , you are an entry-level kitchen team member who supports the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily food preparation and service.

You will be responsible for assisting in basic food preparation,maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations while developing your culinary skills in a structured and professional environment.

• Assist in basic food preparation and mise en place
• Follow instructions from senior chefs accurately
• Prepare ingredients as directed (washing,chopping, portioning, etc.)
• Always maintain cleanliness of workstations

• Work under the supervision of Demi Chef de Partieand Chef de Partie
• Assist in daily kitchen tasks as assigned
• Support smooth workflow within the section
• Communicate clearly with team members
• Participating in basic training and development

• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and workareas
• Ensure proper food storage and handling practices
• Always follow HACCP standards
• Report any safety or hygiene issues immediately

• Assist in receiving and storing ingredients
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotationsystem
• Minimize waste through correct handling and preparation
• Support basic stock organization tasks
• Report damaged or missing items

• Assist in preparing dishes according to recipes and standards
• Support plating and basic cooking tasks under supervision
• Learning menu items and kitchen procedures
• No formalqualification required; culinary certificate is an advantage
• Fluet Arabic and English speaker (other languages preferred but not essential)

• Entry-level role;previous kitchen or catering experience is an advantage
• Passion for cooking and willingness to learn

• Excellent communication skills (Both English and Arabic speaking required)
