Responsibilities
- Develop and improve processes throughout the operational areas
- Designing of new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems
- Purchasing and overseeing equipment installation
- Work cross-functionally in manufacturing and assembly areas
- Engage with other teams as per project requirements
- Lead, support, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers
- Set and review objectives aligned with operational goals
- Design and implement new systems, equipment, and processes to support product introduction
- Support DfM/DfA activities
- Lead equipment reviews and tenders
- Liaise with suppliers and customers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, manage budgets, and performance data in collaboration with finance
- Work closely with R&D to ensure products are ready for manufacture
- Develop automated and manual systems, test processes, and champion change management
- Consistently promote SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and improve efficiency, quality, and speed
- Candidates must hold, as a minimum, a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar engineering role
- Proven project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Proficiency in CAD, including both 2D and 3D systems, ideally AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Formal training in Six Sigma would be advantageous, although not essential
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in discrete part manufacture and assembly
- Knowledge of can making equipment is advantageous but not essential
