Purchase Ledger Clerk​/Accounts Assistant

Sharp Consultancy are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join an established finance team for a well-established business in Shipley. This role focuses on managing the full purchase ledger process
, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. You will work as part of a team of Purchase and Sales ledger clerks and report directly to the FC.

• Manage the full purchase ledger, including invoice processing and supplier account reconciliation.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of invoices and credit notes.
• Prepare and process supplier payments in line with company policies.
• Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and support audits when required.

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role, with strong knowledge of purchase ledger duties.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• 12 month fixed term contract
• Salary £27,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience + benefits
