Tax Manager

You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, providing both compliance and advisory services to individuals, directors, business owners and high-net-worth clients.

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients from start to finish.
• Reviewing and preparing self-assessment tax returns.
• Providing advice on personal tax planning opportunities.
• Supporting clients with capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other personal tax matters.
• Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value-added tax services.
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance.

• Previous experience working within personal tax in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
• ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification (or qualified by experience).
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Competitive salary of 45,000 - 60,000, depending on experience.
