CNC Miller - Nights OR Weekends

Position Overview

Due to an increase in workload and continued company growth we are recruiting a number of CNC Millers to join our client on a permanent basis near Shipley.

• Night shifts (Mon‑Thu): 40 hours per week.
• Weekend shifts (Fri‑Sun): 36 hours per week.
• Flexible start/finish times: weekends start 5:30am‑8:30am finish 5:30pm‑8:30pm; nights start 5:30pm‑8:30pm finish 4:30am‑7:30am.

• Set and operate 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC Millers using Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls.
• Ensure machines manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.
• Maintain machines daily, including coolant conditioning, to meet health and safety requirements.
• Keep the working area clean, tidy, and organized.
• Perform in‑process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.
• Train or mentor new apprentices and new starters.

• Time‑served CNC Miller with demonstrable experience operating a CNC Miller to very tight tolerances.
• Experience setting and operating Fanuc or Siemens controls.
• Experience operating multiple machines and working with multiple materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Demonstrated ability to run proven programs and tooling.
• Knowledge of hand measuring equipment and CMM for in‑process inspection.
