We’re hiring Field Service Engineers to service and maintain municipal, plant, industrial & specialist vehicles such as HGV’s, sweepers, tankers, grabs, RCV’s, tippers and forklifts.
AboutThis Role
Every day, communities and businesses rely on essential equipment to keep things running smoothly. As a Field Service Engineer
, you’ll be out in the field, ensuring our environmental, municipal, civil, and utilities assets stay in top condition. From urgent breakdowns to scheduled maintenance, you’ll keep clients operational.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain DGEMC-owned assets, including specialist utilities equipment (road sweepers, tankers, grabs, RCV’s, tippers & specialist vehicles/equipment)
- Respond swiftly to service calls, ensuring downtime is minimized
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain accurate electronic work records via PDA
- Carry out PMI inspections and complete reports
- Manage your own time and stock levels efficiently
- Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent)
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Confident diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical faults
- Competent in the use of diagnostic equipment
- Class 2 HGV licence desirable but not essential
- Great communicator and able to prioritise workload
