Overview
RN Emergency Department PT Nights role at Saint Alphonsus Health System – Baker City, Oregon. Part time, night shift. The ED unit includes trauma and stroke care; candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn, and a strong team player.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with colleagues, maintain accurate documentation, and use resources wisely.
- Serve as a patient advocate by promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
- Educate patients and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Develop care plans based on patient needs.
- Licensed in the State of Oregon as a Registered Nurse (per Oregon State Board of Nursing).
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required at hire, unless already certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
- ACLS and/or PALS within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of RN acute care experience (high acuity, critical care patient population experience required).
RNs in the ED will manage a six-bed unit with trauma and stroke patients, primarily. Our ideal candidate is adaptable to change, invested in self-driven learning, and a team player.
