ASIC Camera Design Engineer at Qualcomm

Step into a dynamic role at Qualcomm Canada as an ASIC Camera Design Engineer. Focus on hardware design for image and video processing in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

As part of the Multimedia Camera HW team, you will contribute significantly to the design of advanced image and video processing blocks. This position requires close collaboration with hardware and system architects to micro-architect and design hardware tailored for multimedia applications, emphasizing ASIC design principles and methodologies. Excellent communication, planning, and execution skills are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects to design Multimedia Image Signal Processing hardware

• Own and deliver core-level IPRTL design and synthesis results

• Conduct design rule checks and low power evaluations

• Evaluate performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs

• Develop test plans and implement/debug tests based on verification needs

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Verilog or VHDL RTL design

• Familiarity with design verification and bus protocols

• Experience with RTL sanity tools and synthesis processes

• Bachelor's degree in related fields or equivalent experience

• Skills in TCL/Perl/Python/shell-scripting preferred
