Your next challenge:- Reporting to the Process Plant Superintendent, you will be part of the Process Plant Department and ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Coordinate maintenance and operations activities to achieve departmental objectives sustainably.
- Coach and develop frontline supervisors and the leadership team.
- Analyze, approve, and implement departmental KPI’s, ensuring corrective actions are identified and communicated.
- Manage production and operations activities to ensure an adequate and continuous supply of raw materials for processing.
- Plan operations and maintenance activities up to one year in advance, including procurement needs and material ordering.
- Review, approve, and recommend actions related to staffing, development, and training of supervisory and operating personnel.
- Review and approve established procedures and ensure they are followed by all employees.
- Monitor environmental control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement and optimization of established processes.
- Ensure effective cross shift communication and information transfer.
- Oversee investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near misses; ensure reports are completed accurately and promptly and recommend improvements.
- Perform any other duties as required.
- College technical diploma/trade certification, or relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in mining process plant operations.
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Note that the official working language at Meadowbank is English.
Schedule:
14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
