Regional Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)
Join to apply for the Regional Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) role at National Heritage Academies.
OverviewThis position is scheduled for 24 hours per week and involves traveling to multiple school locations to provide Occupational Therapy services.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs or Section 504 plans.
- Assess motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for eligibility for services.
- Participate in IEP/Section 504 processes; provide input on assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Collaborate with the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and stakeholders regarding students’ development.
- Integrate OT goals into the classroom and support objectives through therapy programs.
- Provide training on strategies to assist students in mainstream settings.
- Develop and adjust OT interventions with school staff and parents.
- Utilize a range of treatment strategies to support student development.
- Design adaptive equipment for individual students and classroom use.
- Maintain records of caseload, schedules, and progress; report changes to the Special Education Administrator.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings as needed and participate in school initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal.
- Master s Degree in Occupational Therapy
