This is an exciting opportunity to join the Human Resources team of Utili Quest, LLC as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).
Utili Quest is seeking a dynamic field human resources professional to partner with field operations Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in our offices in the Arkansas/Louisiana Region. The HRBP reports directly to the Director, Human Resources and plays a critical role in supporting teams and employees throughout the Region. In this role, you must be highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and support clients while managing your time efficiently.

The successful candidate must have strong influencing skills and be willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into field operations in a construction environment to shape and drive cultural change.

Primary Duties
  • Serve as point of contact for employees on HR related matters.
  • Investigate employee relations concerns and maintain confidentiality.
  • Identify employee strengths, mentor and advise supervisors, managers and directors to maximize business results.
  • Maintain professional presence and polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Operate with a high degree of integrity and commitment to treat people with respect.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization; exercise sound decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Stay highly organized, efficient, and goal‑oriented.
  • Apply knowledge of state and federal employment law.
  • Monitor daily leave management (FMLA, Workers’ Comp, personal, reasonable accommodation).
  • Support hiring managers with key postings and hiring needs.
  • Draft and post job listings in the applicant tracking system and other recruitment platforms.
  • Attend job fairs and partner with local community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate applicant files and proper disposition of candidates.
  • Screens candidates by phone to determine qualifications and assist managers with interview assistance.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff and monitor pre‑hire diligence, including background checks and drug screen status.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of exempt level HR experience in a multi‑state, multi‑unit environment with a significant non‑exempt employee population.
  • Experience managing off‑site/field‑based employees is strongly preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, ADEA, COBRA and other federal and state employee benefit regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (UKG, iCIMS a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of employees.
  • Highly organized, efficient, goal‑oriented, and detail‑oriented.
  • High degree of integrity and respect for others.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand key customer business units, help them meet goals, and become a trusted business partner.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
  • Ability to work in various environments (field, office, travel, remote).
  • Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Extensive local and national travel; 25‑75 % travel expected.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs; carry work materials, equipment, and luggage while traveling.
Compensation

The wage range for HR Business Partner is $67,000.00 – $75,000.00.
