Electrical Estimator

Bronco Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator with at least 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial projects.

The Estimating Department is responsible for producing project‑specific construction estimates based on client requirements.

• Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates for bids and proposals using McCormick.
• Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and correctly input data into estimating software.
• Evaluate and price value‑engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
• Prepare budget pricing from schematic drawings and narratives.
• Draft scope letters, proposals, and vendor solicitations.
• Participate in job walks, pre‑bid meetings, and client/design professional conferences.
• Support ongoing development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases.
• Work effectively under deadlines in a professional and composed manner.
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and engineers on change orders and project cost estimates.
• Assist in developing and maintaining company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plan/spec work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience on commercial and industrial projects.
• At least 1 year of design/build estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and a major estimating software program.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
• Work is performed in both office and field settings; standard office equipment is used regularly.

• Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Vision requirements include seeing close‑up and adjusting focus as needed.

• Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
