Local Television News Producer at Sinclair Inc.

We have an immediate opening for a creative Local News Television Producer at KBAK/KBFX. In this role you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day production of our newscasts and work closely with the Executive Producer, Newscast Directors, and Anchors to develop content and manage on‑air staff.

• Determine the content and flow of newscasts.
• Generate and write stories with management and on‑air staff.
• Develop content for our website.

• Solid news judgment.
• Compelling and accurate writer.
• Ability to multitask and manage time for exciting and informative newscasts.
• Can work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Capable of executing news strategies and goals in daily newscasts.
• Flexibility and on‑the‑spot problem‑solving abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least some previous news‑producing experience.
• Fluency in English grammar.
• Complete understanding of current events and news.
• Complete understanding and compliance with journalism ethics.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $16.90 to $17.50. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
