Clinical Nursing Instructor - Pediatrics/OB‑GYN | RN Faculty Position

Join our dynamic nursing education team as a Clinical Nursing Instructor specializing in Pediatrics or OB‑GYN. Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise clinical nursing experiences for nursing students in hospital and healthcare settings
  • Evaluate student clinical performance and competencies according to established nursing program policies and procedures
  • Provide immediate constructive feedback and mentoring to students following clinical observations
  • Track, maintain, and submit accurate student records including attendance, grades, skills checklists, and clinical documentation
  • Apply evidence‑based adult learning principles and teaching methodologies in clinical instruction
  • Orient and mentor new nursing faculty members in clinical and theoretical teaching practices
  • Participate in strategic planning, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives for nursing education
  • Verify and ensure clinical sites meet all health, safety, and accreditation standards
  • Determine appropriate clinical assignments matching student learning needs with facility requirements
  • Develop and implement effective observation, instruction, and evaluation methods for clinical competency
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare technology, safety regulations, and best practices in nursing education
  • Submit required reports, documentation, and forms to Program Director in a timely manner
  • Provide student accessibility through scheduled office hours, email correspondence, and academic advising
  • Participate actively in nursing program committees, faculty meetings, and professional development activities
  • Enhance online and hybrid teaching skills for distance learning platforms
  • Assist with data collection and assessment for nursing program accreditation and compliance
Required Qualifications
  • Valid, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from State Board of Nursing
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher degree from nationally accredited institution in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration
  • Completion of academic coursework in Obstetrics, Pediatrics, or Psychiatric Nursing
  • Minimum four (4) years of professional RN experience providing direct patient care
  • At least one (1) year of clinical nursing experience within the last five (5) years (teaching experience qualifies per CCR 1420(c))
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in Pediatric Nursing or Obstetrics‑Gynecology (OB‑GYN)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to nursing education excellence and student success
  • No prior teaching experience required – comprehensive Faculty Development training program provided
