Please Note:

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. The district is seeking part-time, hourly adjunct instructors for various campuses including Bakersfield, Delano, Arvin, City Serve, Job Spot, McFarland, Shafter, Southwest Campus, and Wasco. The starting salary is $66.00/hour, with rates potentially varying based on assignment type and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Refer to the CCA collective bargaining agreement or your college HR office for details.

This pool will be used to staff assignments across multiple campuses and centers as listed above.

• Master's in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies, OR
• Bachelor's in art history and master's in history, OR
• Master's in art with an emphasis or concentration in art history, OR
• Equivalent qualifications. Applicants must submit an application for equivalency and supporting documents if applicable.

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds. Degrees from non-U.S. institutions must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service.
