Instructional/Intervention Aide
Site LocationHighland Elementary School
Term / Hours5.75 hours per day
Responsibilities and DutiesUnder the supervision of the site administrator and the direction of a certificated staff member, perform necessary duties to assist in planning and implementing a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning, or formal academic assessment required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
- CPR training.
- Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Ability to work well with children.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Background that includes activities involving students and an interest in working with school‑age children.
- Experience working in an instructional environment.
- Experience or education in child development.
Range: $16.50 – $19.61 per hour based on 10 steps; additional $0.32 in lieu of benefits.
