Kinesiology Instructor – Part‑time Adjunct Pool – Inside Higher Ed

When a need arises, qualified applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted by department supervisors, deans, or division chairs. Applications remain active for up to two years.
Representative DutiesThe adjunct pool will be used to staff part‑time adjunct positions.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education.
- OR – Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a Master’s degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy.
- OR – Equivalent combination of education, experience, and other accomplishments. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Application for Equivalence form with supporting documents.
Both degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Degrees earned outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized credential‑evaluation service.

- Ability to engage students with varied skills, motivations, and goals.
- Ability to develop curriculum, including delivery via multiple modalities.
- Ability to participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated subject‑matter currency.
- Ability to assess student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of computers and willingness to adopt new technology benefiting the program.
- Commitment to the California community college mission.
