Structural Project Engineer—Engineering Excellence Starts Here

Join TETER Architects and Engineers as a Structural Project Engineer I-II, designing safe, innovative public education facilities across California.

Location:

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield, or Modesto, California.

What You'll Do
  • Lead structural design for DSA-regulated projects, including vertical and lateral load systems.
  • Produce and oversee structural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct and review structural calculations and design criteria.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Support or lead construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
  • Manage project quality, schedule, and scope.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to department standards and QA/QC processes.
  • Serve as Engineer-of-Record on structural-only projects (Level II).
What You Bring
  • Current registration as a Structural Engineer in California (required).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3–5 years (Level I) or 5–8 years (Level II) as a licensed engineer.
    • Demonstrated experience with DSA projects in California's public-education sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong understanding of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, and DSA requirements.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
    • Familiarity with project management software (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $115,000–$145,000 annually (based on license, qualifications, experience, location, and business needs).
