Estimators work closely with many other professionals including consultants, contractors, accountants and operations personnel to provide the most accurate and comprehensive financial and budget analysis for their employers. An estimator collects and analyzes data to estimate how much time, money, material, and labor it will take to either provide a service, manufacture a product, or construct a project

• Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
• Creating labor estimates for any project
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors
• Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
• Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
• Compiling and recording actual costs
• Develop and issue RFI’s, Submittals, transmittals, and Change Orders.
• Coordinate projects look backs, identify areas of improvement, and implement actions items, corrective actions
• Manage multiple bids at once, for the renewables team & our oil and gas construction division.
• Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis
• Ability to read blueprints/construction drawings
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Report writing and strategic planning skills
• Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
• Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management skills

• At least 2-3 years’ relevant professional experience.
• Or 4 year College degree in relevant field preferred
• Experience with Bid2win Estimating a huge plus.

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and State automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout.

Completion of a substance abuse screening upon offer of employment.
