We are currently seeking an experienced Consumer Loan Underwriter for a credit union located in Redlands, CA
!
Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $28 - $30/hr
Schedule:
Part-time 30 hours a week - Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm required with remaining hours 4 weekdays between the hours of 8:30 AM - 6 PM
- Underwriting personal loans, auto loans, and revolving credit.
- Income verification, DTI calculations, and full credit bureau review.
- Applying lending policy, making approve/decline/counter decisions, and documenting credit rationale.
- Use loan origination system Meridian Link.
- Support credit union members with loan requests.
- Use Symitar core system.
- Work independently, manage volume, and demonstrate sound credit judgment.
- Symitar & Meridian Link experience highly desired.
- 2 years underwriting consumer loans including auto, credit card, unsecured personal loans.
- Basic knowledge of consumer loan products within a credit union such as credit card and auto loans.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
