Path Point is excited to welcome part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Integrated Work program team in Bakersfield, CA
. This is an employment training program that provides skills development and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a mix of work/volunteer sites, in-person classes, and virtual meetings. As a DSP, you will lead both virtual and in-person groups at outdoor worksites. This is truly a job where no two days are the same, and you will make a difference every single day.

We partner with children, adults, and families to foster hope, build life skills, access support systems, and form meaningful relationships. We serve communities across Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
ScheduleMonday-Friday 8:15am-2:30pm (Subject to change around program hours), 28.75 hours per week.
CompensationThis is an hourly, non-exempt position starting at $21.75 per hour
. If you are bilingual (Spanish or ASL), the starting wage is $22.05 per hour
. The pay range for this position is $20.66-$22.84
. The pay range is subject to change based on a variety of factors.

- Teach individuals social/life skills to help them lead more independent lives, including communication skills, mobility, money management, housing, and public transportation.
- Teach individuals vocational skills to help prepare them for entry-level employment.
- Supervise individuals during hours of instruction and on community outings and volunteering.
- Build friendly and professional rapport with individuals and act as a positive role model for work habits, communication skills, and social skills.
- Prepare weekly schedules, monthly training projections, and written progress reports.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, and others in a positive and constructive manner.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, either professionally or personally, is desirable but not required. If you are interested in this opportunity but do not have directly relevant experience, we d still love to hear from you!
- Must have a valid California driver s license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint s auto insurance policy.

- High school diploma or GED is required.
