Tier II Technical Support Specialist
Direct Hire | Excellent Benefits | Kern County | No Sponsorship Available | $65,000 - $75,000
Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and being the go-to resource when Tier I support needs backup? We’re looking for a Tier II Technical Support Specialist to join a growing nonprofit organization in Kern County.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with technology, digging into tougher technical issues, and supporting a broad IT environment. You’ll handle escalated support requests, troubleshoot systems and network issues, assist with upgrades and projects, and help keep critical technology running smoothly.

- Provide Tier II technical support for escalated hardware, software, network, and application issues
- Troubleshoot Windows workstations, user accounts, connectivity, printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology
- Support Microsoft technologies, networks, servers, telecommunications, and business applications
- Diagnose and resolve more complex technical issues escalated from Tier I support
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, implementations, and IT projects
- Support the reliability, performance, and security of systems and technology environments
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to reduce support needs
- Serve as a knowledgeable technical resource for users and other IT team members
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical problems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple technical priorities
