- Continually emphasizes safety. Participates in or leads safety meetings, hazard hunts and ensures JSA’s are followed and PPE requirements are met at all times. Corrects and reports unsafe acts, conditions or hazards immediately.
- Directly supervises rig hands, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring all work is completed effectively and according to safety standards.
- Develops daily rig work plans including task sequencing, equipment staging, and resource allocation. Adjusts plans as conditions change.
- Responsible for assuring that daily work tickets are completed accurately and signed by the customer when required. Audits work tickets based on Company requirements and the work performed for the customer.
- Maintains open and effective communication with customers, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring that their expectations are met.
- Observes and coaches personnel on proper well servicing processes, including rig-up/rig-down, tripping, pulling rods/tubing, and equipment handling. Required onsite during critical operations.
- Responds to worksite emergencies such as spills, accidents or injuries.
- Keeps accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, equipment usage, safety incidents, and any other relevant information. Provides regular reports to management as required.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of team members, providing feedback, coaching, and recognition, and addressing performance issues as needed.
- Provides training and guidance to team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.
- Facilitates open communication within the team and with other departments or stakeholders, ensuring information flows effectively and feedback is received and acted upon.
- Identifies problems or challenges that arise within the team or in workflow processes, analyzing root causes, and implementing solutions to address them.
- Addresses conflicts or disputes that arise among team members in a timely and constructive manner, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
- Ensures team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to their work, and takes corrective action if necessary.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Certificates, Licenses
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Motor Vehicle Record qualifies individual to be an approved company driver required.
Experience
- Four years or more of progressive rig or well service experience.
- Previous oil & gas experience strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

- Knowledge of company and customer policies, and HSE standards and guidelines
Required:
- Thorough knowledge of oil field service related equipment, materials, terminology and the maintenance of the same.
- Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations.
- Ability to make informed and timely decisions that align with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Effective time management skills for prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and optimizing workflow.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and demands in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities based on team members' skills and capabilities.
- Microsoft Office software skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
This role works primarily in a non-office environment. In this capacity, incumbents are regularly:
