Production Assistant – Cello – Shift 2

Bolthouse Fresh Foods invites you to apply for the Production Assistant – Cello – Shift 2 role. We provide a competitive base pay range of $20.00–$22.00 per year, which will be based on your skills and experience.

• Reports to the Supervisor
• Shift: 2 (4:30 PM – 2:00 AM, Monday‑Friday; occasional Saturdays/Sundays)

• Alert maintenance staff, plant operator, and manager of all breakdowns.
• Give updates on equipment statuses.
• Read and prepare work orders.
• Create logistics to perform work while coordinating with production, maintenance, and supervisors.
• Monitor production area.
• Respond to maintenance calls.
• Check code dates, work orders, and inspect equipment.
• Train new employees on how to safely work on or near equipment or heavy machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant.
• Inspect work area.
• Perform clean‑up using proper tools and machinery as needed.
• Notify supervisor of any object found or pest sighted in the work area.
• Apply and enforce all sanitation guidelines, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Ensure “Big Blue”, Cello Pit, and South Plant run smoothly and do not back up.
• Perform other assigned duties.

• High School/GED Diploma or 1–2 years experience in a related field (or a combination of education and experience)
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record

• Effective communication skills.
• Punctual, excellent attendance record, and cooperative with others.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Apply common sense, understand, and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

• Two to three years’ experience in production maintenance (production worker).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Mechanically inclined.
• Forklift certified.

• Environment exposure to wet and humid conditions, extreme hot/humid conditions (95°F or above).
• Material exposure – moving mechanical parts.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
• Lift/push‑pull/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three‑point contact.
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures (34°F or below).
• Stand for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
• Capable of repeating repetitive motions.

• 2nd shift: 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM;
  Monday‑Friday, occasional Saturdays/Sundays.
• Hours are subject to change; overtime and holidays may be mandatory based on business needs.
