We are seeking a Per Diem Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
to join an experienced vascular surgery team in Bakersfield, California. This position provides the opportunity to support inpatient care, operating roomcases, outpatient vascular clinic visits, and postoperative follow-up. Per-diemAPPs will provide coverage based on departmental needs and provider availability.

Compensation
: $136,500

Schedule
  • Per-diem schedule with shifts available based on coverage needs
  • 10-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Weekday coverage
  • Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability
Responsibilities
  • Provide care in a fully equipped outpatient vascular clinic
  • Assist with inpatient endovascular andopen vascular surgery cases
  • Support outpatient surgery center cases
  • Manage patients with vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, dialysis access,and carotid disease
  • Participate in elective and postoperative vascular clinics
  • Perform inpatient rounds and consultations
  • Assist vascular surgeons in the operating room
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff,and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment
Requirements
  • Current PA-C or Nurse Practitioner license and certification
  • 1–2 yearsof vascular surgery experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to work effectively in acollaborative surgical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
