Reporting to the General Manager, the Environmental Technician performs tasks under the direct guidance of a supervisor, including non-emergency and emergency response activities such as confined space entry (e.g., manholes), tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high-pressure washing, and other remedial activities.

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Perform labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift.
• Work in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights.
• Operate light and heavy equipment (e.g., Forklifts, Aerial Lifts, Boom Lifts, Skid Steers, Excavators, Pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles).
• Attend mandatory training to earn certifications and obtain information specific to responsibilities.
• Ensure all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.
• Work on-call based on the rotating on-call schedule for Emergency Response. Travel may be required; length of travel depends on the service center and ongoing projects.
• Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen, and Alcohol testing.
• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening.
• Must be able to successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and other mandatory trainings.
• Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods, overnight and on an on-call basis.
• Able to read, write, and understand English, and follow verbal and written instructions.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver s license with clean driving record.
• 6 months construction or general labor experience.

• Must be able to withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
• Must be able to perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to wear PPE.
• Must be able to work under adverse conditions (heat and cold).
