This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time without notice. Candidates must be willing to travel to Ridgecrest, Lake Isabella, and Mojave. The position requires travel between these locations.

• Appraisal (Weight 100%) will evaluate training, education, experience, and personal fitness. Must attain at least 70% on each phase.

• Bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 semester or 20 quarter units in behavioral science AND 18 months experience equivalent to a Social Service Worker in Kern County.
• OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 months experience equal to Human Services Technician I, Job Developer I, Program Specialist I, or Eligibility Worker, AND 18 months experience equivalent to a Social Service Worker in Kern County.
• OR Bachelor’s degree plus 24 semester or 40 quarter units of a Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, or related program, AND 12 months of social casework experience.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.

• Eligible candidates may be required to submit to post‑offer medical and drug screening tests at county expense.
• Background check and fingerprinting may be required.
