EVENING EXTENDED OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - 2ND SHIFT

Hours: Sunday through Thursday 14:00 to 22:30

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess excellent communication abilities, a proactive attitude, and a keen eye for detail, even with limited direct supervision.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or truckload dispatch.
• Proven ability to schedule and track drivers and shipments efficiently.
• Experience coordinating repairs with external service providers during unit breakdowns.
• Skilled in dispatching and monitoring drivers to ensure timely service.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong decision‑making abilities, especially in emergency or routine situations.
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• HOS and DOT regulations experience
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities, maintaining diplomacy, confidentiality, and sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure and schedule appointments as necessary.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers.
• Provide assistance to drivers with any issues that arise during transit.
• Communicate with customers via email, offering updates on current shipments and addressing inquiries.
• Monitor all shipments currently in transit or scheduled for transit.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the Transportation Management System (TMS) concerning shipments and deliveries.
• Schedule drivers for loads, ensuring they have the required DOT hours available to complete their assignments.
• Keep detailed records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, and delivery and pickup times.
• Other duties as assigned based on customer and operational needs
