Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Solar Technician for a growing energy and electrical services company. This position provides an ideal opportunity to launch a long‑term career in the electrical trade while receiving paid training toward a Texas Residential Wireman License. The Solar Technician will work alongside Master Electricians to gain practical experience in battery backup systems, generators, and residential electrical work, building skills that lead to journeyman certification and long‑term career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed electricians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining battery systems, generator units, and residential electrical components.
  • Support daily field operations, including wire pulls, panel handling, battery replacements, and load testing.
  • Ride along with licensed electricians or meet at central DFW locations to perform hands‑on work (company vehicle provided).
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites at all times.
  • Learn to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal cameras.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, ladder safety, and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Track on‑the‑job hours in coordination with TDLR licensing requirements.
Qualifications
  • Background in construction, electrical, HVAC, or other mechanical trades.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold a Texas Apprentice Electrician License (TDLR).
  • Reliable transportation to daily meeting points or job sites in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on rooftops or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adhere to safety standards.
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills when interacting with residential clients.
  • 2 years of relevant experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with battery backup systems, residential generators, or panel upgrades.
  • Experience with brands such as Generac or Franklin

    WH, or prior residential service/light commercial electrical work.
  • OSHA‑10 certification or basic safety training.
