Cuts material on saws, maintaining work order tolerances and specifications

Ability to use measurement tools; knowledge of saw concepts, practices and procedures; ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances and specifications; ability to set up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and flow of coolant against cutting area; ability to properly load material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment; knowledge of changing blades on saws as needed; cleans saws at the end of shift;

adheres to personal and facility safety procedures and practices. Other duties as required.

Lead saw operator will assist all operators with saw operations.

• Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.
• Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
• Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
• Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
• Must be forklift operations and safety certified.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
