Electrician Intermediate

This full‑time position reports to the Electrical Supervisor and involves the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and low‑voltage systems in our stores.

• Install electrical wiring in buildings, light poles, and alarm systems, and troubleshoot malfunctions and blackouts.
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical systems and equipment.
• Replace, add new, or relocate switches and receptacles; pull wire and redirect circuits.
• Arrange wiring, fixtures, and conduit boxes for alarm and electrical systems; install wiring, conduit, and pipe.
• Diagnose fan controls and contractors (lighting systems).
• Respond to service calls and perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform trench work for in‑ground installations.
• Work safely around live electrical panels, ladders, and with minimal store downtime.
• Observe all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
• Confirm workmanship meets applicable technical and safety standards.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and supply inventory.
• Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, IT technicians, and maintenance technicians.
• Track progress and communicate with the supervisor daily.

• Full‑time, hourly (non‑exempt) position.
• Pay range:
  Beginner level $29.91 – $34.25 per hour;
  Intermediate level $34.33 – $42.50 per hour (final pay based on experience and other factors).
• Shifts:
  
  Four 10‑hour shifts per week with rotating days (Mon‑Thur, Tue‑Fri, or Thur‑Thu on 8‑day runs).
• Graveyard shift: 12:00 am–10:30 am; overtime as needed.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

• Driving required; company vehicle provided.
• Up to 80% of travel outside of town or state, including overnight stays.
• Travel to all states where In‑N‑Out operates; 8‑day out‑of‑town trips may be required.

• Active ET Card from the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) required.
• 4–8 years of experience as an electrician in industrial and/or commercial systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical functions, equipment, tools, drawings, and blueprints.
• Valid California driver’s license (company vehicle will be assigned).
• Ability to work in exposed electrical panels with high concentration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time‑management, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.
• Self‑motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
