Responsibilities- Supervise, lead, and develop a team of electrical and instrumentation technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, and lighting.
- Manage the maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation, including transmitters, sensors, control valves, and analytical equipment.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot Siemens Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to optimize plant operations and resolve control issues.
- Perform routine and complex diagnostics on Yokogawa DCS, ensuring system integrity and efficient process control.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for E&I equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations departments to support new projects, system upgrades, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Manage spare parts inventory for critical E&I components and systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and team productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within palm oil downstream or chemical industry.
- Proven expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DCS and PLC systems, with strong practical experience in system architecture, programming, and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a technical team.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and switch gear.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of industrial safety practices.
- Flexible to handle emergency on-call duties
- Willing to work from Mon - Fri and alternate Sat (half day).
