Overview

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Underground Support Supervisor based in customer project / Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur.

This position is responsible for supporting daily activity underground field technicians for support Sandvik underground population in Indonesia, coordinating tasks for technicians based on skills and abilities, providing troubleshooting guides to Sandvik technicians, as well as to customer technicians when there is a problem with the Sandvik unit. Conducting problem analysis on equipment and collecting data from Sandvik technicians and also from customers for continuous improvement programs.

This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring communication and providing aftermarket support for each underground project assigned to them.
  • Responsible for ensuring critical parts and stock recommendations on the sheet meet customer operational needs. This role requires communication and agreements involving the customer.
  • Ensure each technician has the appropriate tools and equipment for their assigned tasks.
  • Ensure paperwork and work permits are prepared for each technician on duty.
  • Ensure all special tools are in good condition and available – collaboration with field service support Balikpapan.
  • Map technician needs based on their respective specializations – prepare projective training needs for technicians based on future requirements.
  • Provide reports and feedback to the L&H and DRRI Division through CRM Feedback.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Sandvik standards.
  • Ensure all work carried out by the team is carried out properly, in accordance with Sandvik standards and the standards of the location where the team works.
  • Able to adapt and continue to develop according to market and customer needs outside of current main responsibilities.
Collaboration
  • As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including Business Line Managers and factories in Tampere and Alachua.
  • Report to Service Superintendent – and Service Manager.
  • Collaboration with the PSSR and TSSR teams.
  • Collaboration with the Parts team.
Supervision / Management / Coaching
  • Strong basic skills in Hydraulics and Electricity.
  • Able to effectively communicate any issues and problems and their solutions.
  • Active and willing to work collaboratively in a team, including sharing experiences and knowledge with lower-level team members.
  • Able to work in under pressure situations and provide a positive situation within the team.

  • Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.
