Full-Time Lab Associate II – Phlebotomy Float (Outpatient) at Missouri Medical Center

Position Details
  • Full-Time –Day Shift

    Hours:

    Mon
    -Fri (Hours will vary between 6:30am
    -5pm at 8 hour shifts)
  • Float within the same facility between inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy labs
  • All shifts would be on Missouri Baptist Campus
  • Collect blood and urine samples from patients in outpatient settings
  • Weekend Rotation - just once every 3 weeks (Enjoy time off during the week to balance your personal life)
  • Extra Holiday Pay:
    Holidays will be required while earning top dollar when you work on your designated holidays each year which are Memorial Day, 4th July and Labor Day only
Experience
  • 2 years of Phlebotomy experience (highly preferred)
  • Experienced expert with blood draw

Preferred Qualifications

Role

Purpose:

Perform specimen collection, specimen handling and clerical duties. Experienced in phlebotomy and proficient in performing additional tasks such as central processing duties, in-office phlebotomy, or inventory management.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret physician orders and order tests in appropriate system.
  • Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. May work in outpatient lab, in physician office, or off campus patient service center.
  • Sort and process specimens received by the laboratory and proficiently handle all specimens received in the lab.
  • Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
  • May perform registration, inventory maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
