In this full-time role, you’ll play a crucial part in delivering advanced patient care while assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. As an Operating Room RN – First Assistant , you will:

• Utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with various departments.
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
• Lead and guide fellow caregivers, embodying Mercy’s mission and values.

Location: Mercy Hospital Washington

Status: Full-Time | 40 hrs/week

Shift: Days with Call (4 days - 10 hours each day)

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Licensure: Current RN Temporary Permit or RN License in the State of Missouri
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse (3+ years preferred)
• Certifications:
  • BLS/ACLS – required within 1 year of hire
  • CNOR & RN-First Assistant certification required within 1 year

• Education:
  BSN preferred
