Parts Advisor (Ballyclare)

Job Role

Dennison Commercials Ltd is the sole Volvo Truck & Bus dealer and the leading provider of heavy commercial vehicles in Northern Ireland. We are currently recruiting for the above role to join the existing team at our Ballyclare dealer point.

Hours of Work

This position will be based at our Main Ballyclare Depot and will be a 40 hour work week, with normal hours of work organised by rota in advance. The rota will cover our customer demands, currently Monday to Thursdays 8:00-21:00, Fridays from 08:00-18:00 and Saturdays 08:00-14:00. Some flexibility will be expected outside of these hours as needed due to operational requirements.

Job Role

The primary duties of this position include:

• Dealing with parts enquiries via telephone, face to face and e-mail
• Proactive sales of parts to existing and new customers, relationship building with customers
• Fulfilling parts enquiries and orders from retail customers and our own workshop
• Maintaining an efficient stock control system
• Parts picking from warehouse
• Monitoring and order replenishment of impressed stock with key customers
• All administrative duties associated with parts ordering and returns
• Ensuring that the Parts Department runs as efficiently as possible
• Ensuring that customer demands are met, and that the correct solution is supplied
• Ad hoc duties commensurate with the position

Family-run business, Dennison Commercials has been serving the transport industry for over 50 years. As well as being one of the longest established Volvo Truck & Bus dealers in the UK and Ireland, Dennison's is also the appointed JCB dealer in Northern Ireland & Donegal for JCB construction, industrial, and access equipment.

The Dennison Group has depots based in Ballyclare, Newry, Dungannon, and Coleraine. We also have a Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop located in Ballyclare and our JCB dealership is located in Templepatrick.

• Relevant parts experience within motor factors or commercial vehicle industry - working within a franchised dealership parts department would be highly desirable
• A reasonable level of computer literacy would be advantageous, along with previous experience of using stock control systems
