Overview
We’re seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward‑thinking Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Clare Veterinary Group in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Andrew Healy, who has been leading our equine services for over 25 years, and to help shape the future of Clare Equine Vets by developing and growing our services to meet the needs of happy hobby horses to competitive sport horses.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with Andrew and contribute fresh ideas to advance the practice.
- Perform ambulatory visits, manage clinical cases, and conduct client consultations.
- Have the opportunity to develop your role around your professional strengths and ambitions.
- Support the practice’s expansion and enhance the care we provide.
Full‑time (40 hours per week) with flexible rota patterns and working hours to accommodate personal needs and priorities. We provide a laptop, phone, company car, and a relocation allowance of up to £5,000 for those moving to the area. Competitive salary is dependent on experience.
Practice OverviewClare Veterinary Group is a long‑established, progressive, and proudly RCVS‑accredited practice based in Ballyclare, County Antrim. The practice offers exceptional Small Animal, Large Animal, and Equine care across a main hospital in Ballyclare and branch practices in Whiteabbey, Cavehill, and Carrickfergus. Facilities include four consulting rooms, two theatres, an X‑ray room, a dedicated dental suite, separate cat and dog wards, an isolation unit, and a comfortable staff room.
We are fully equipped with digital X‑ray, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in‑house lab, and advanced anaesthetic monitoring. Modern ambulatory facilities and diagnostic equipment are available for equine work.
