Accounting Manager (EST Time Zone, Europe-Focused)

We are an innovative and fast-growing electronics manufacturer seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. While this role is based in the Eastern Time (EST) zone in the United States, it will focus entirely on overseeing management accounting operations in Europe.

As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting business decisions, and enhancing the efficiency of our accounting processes across multiple European entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly closing activities by set business day of each month
• Conduct detailed Budget vs. Actual (BvA) analysis and provide insightful reporting
• Manage VAT filings across various European jurisdictions [this will be done by tax specialists in each location, however you will need to collate the information]
• Oversee payment processing and treasury operations
• Structure and streamline accounting processes to support a dynamic startup environment
• Collaborate across teams and time zones to ensure alignment and consistency in financial operations

Requirements:

• Knowledge of VAT and local compliance in multiple EU countries
• Strong understanding of financial close processes, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Excellent organizational skills with a process improvement mindset
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages (such as French, German, or Italian) is highly desirable
• Must be able to work during standard EST business hours
