An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join the finance team of a well-established business operating across the transport, logistics and supply chain sector. This successful organisation plays a key role in supporting businesses throughout the UK and Ireland and continues to invest in its people and operations.
This role offers the chance to become part of a busy finance function where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are key. Reporting to the Finance team, you will manage supplier invoices, support payment processes and help ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable function.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and verify supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process supplier payments in line with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems.
- Respond to supplier and internal payment queries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes.
- Produce reports on outstanding invoices and payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.
- Support audit requirements by providing relevant documentation.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
