Location: Luton Reports to: Director
Job PurposeTo provide high-level technical expertise in the maintenance, repair, and performance enhancement of Honda Type R vehicles. You will ensure that every vehicle leaving the workshop meets our exacting standards for safety, performance, and aesthetic finish.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Excellence: Execute everything from routine maintenance to complex performance modifications (e.g., forced induction installs, high-lift cams, and bespoke cooling systems).
- Chassis & Handling: Perform advanced 4-wheel alignment and suspension tuning. Translate customer feedback into tangible handling improvements.
- Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electronic faults in modified vehicles.
- Engine Building: Perform major internal engine work and rebuilds to high-performance specifications.
- Quality Control: Maintain an ultra-clean workspace and ensure all work is documented and double-checked for precision.
- Client Interaction: Consult with customers on build progress and technical recommendations, upholding Dream’s reputation for world-class service.
- Certification: NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience specifically within the Honda Type R platform. Proven experience in the aftermarket/tuning industry is highly desirable.
- Technical
Skills:
Mastery of 4-wheel alignment machines (e.g., Hunter) and a deep understanding of suspension geometry. - Attributes: A "perfectionist" mindset. You must be organized, tidy, and capable of managing your own workflow to meet deadlines.
- License: Full, clean UK Driving License.
