Sales & Marketing Director - Northern Counties

This is a senior new business development role which involves marketing the company’s services and developing these opportunities into new sales for the business. As part of the role you will also be managing a sales team, setting sales targets and ensuring these are delivered. You will report to the Managing Director.

Skills required

• Self‑motivated, able to motivate the team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Thorough understanding of the digital large format graphics market.

This is a Board level position and as such you must be able to prepare and present detailed reports and have a good understanding of the wider business operations.

Duties

• Market the company’s services through targeted campaigns to grow the client base.
• Identify new business opportunities and present the company’s services.
• Obtain a detailed understanding of the client’s requirements and prepare specific project proposals, suggesting suitable materials and including detailed estimates.
• Brief the account management teams who then manage the project through production.
• Build long‑term client relationships.
• Promote the company’s services at trade fairs and work with our internal creative team on the stand design.
• Prepare monthly reports based on sales figures prepared by the accounts department and reports from the sales team and present these at the monthly Board meeting.
• Agree sales targets with the sales team and hold regular 1:1 meetings to motivate and monitor performance.
• Identify industry trends and carry out competitor research.
• Work with the production director to prepare business case proposals for new investments in technology to open up new markets.
• Work with external support to update our Blog, Facebook and Twitter.

Package
:
Dependent on experience – guideline £50,000 – £65,000 basic + commission and bonus.
