About you NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification (or actively working towards) Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or in the process of obtaining Practical experience in health and safety within property management, housing, construction, or asset management environments Solid understanding of building safety standards, property compliance regulations, and industry best practices Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and developing safe systems of work Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate operational teams, contractors, and residents effectively Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a safety-centric culture Valid full driving licence and access to reliable transport to carry out site visits and inspections across multiple locations Ability to work flexible hours, including out-of-hours work when required, and respond to emergencies promptly Proven track record of working within Quality Control / Quality Assurance systems in high-pressure environments What you'll do Provide expert health and safety advice and ongoing support to all operational teams, including those involved in repairs, planned works, compliance, and reactive maintenance activities Support and assist in the development, implementation, and review of health and safety management systems aligned with organisational policies and statutory requirements Lead the planning and execution of risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to proactively identify hazards and ensure compliance Monitor contractor activities, review RAMS documentation, and conduct site visits to verify adherence to safety standards and legal requirements Coordinate and deliver health and safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote a strong safety culture across all teams Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses thoroughly, providing detailed reports and recommendations for prevention and continuous improvement Collaborate with external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies, ensuring all activities meet safety regulations and organisational standards Contribute to ongoing safety initiatives, helping to embed safety as a core organisational value and developing innovative approaches to risk management For further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Co Antrim or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact James…
