An exciting opportunity within the Outpatient Reception team. 0.64 of the shift will be based at QEQM Hospital Margate, and 0.61 will be based at Buckland Hospital Dover.
Main duties of the jobThis post may support one or more teams (Medical or non‑Medical). The focus of this role includes frontline contact with members of the public, keyboard skills, data inputting and frequent use of display screen equipment.

Statistics24 hours will be based at QEQM Hospital Margate, and 22.87 hours will be based at Buckland Hospital Dover.
Person specification Personal & Professional Attributes- Experience of or awareness of a range of work practices in an office setting and in dealing with customers.
- Experience of having been part of a team.
- Previous experience of working within a busy environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders courteously.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy – pays attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to meet set deadlines.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- To adhere to Governance within the Trust to report as per Trust Guidelines.
- Knowledge of Datix reporting.
- Basic numeracy & literacy.
- Educated to GCSE level with A‑C grades in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
- Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ 2 training.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the normal duties of the role, and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020. A Disclosure & Barring Service submission will be required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
