Job Title:

Motor Vehicle Tutor (Light Vehicles)

Location: North London

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per year

• Deliver practical and classroom-based teaching and assessment
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and learning materials
• Set and mark assignments and provide learner feedback
• Assess learner progress against curriculum/apprenticeship standards
• Act as a personal tutor and provide pastoral support
• Maintain attendance records, registers and learner documentation
• Maintain course files and programme paperwork
• Support college marketing/events activity when required
• Follow safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience working on light vehicles
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics and repairs (powertrain, chassis, electrical, drivetrain, auxiliary systems)
• Confident using diagnostic equipment (scanners, oscilloscopes, air con equipment)
• IT competent (Microsoft Office)
• Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to work towards)
• Willingness to work towards a recognised FE teaching qualification
