Position Overview

Are you a science teacher with a passion for Chemistry, Biology or Physics? Do you deliver fun but challenging science lessons, both theoretical and practical? Do you instil a love of Science in the students you teach?

Teacher Active works with a range of secondary schools in Gravesend & Northfleet, Kent, and we are seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers for long‑term or day‑to‑day cover. You’ll be joining a well‑established, supportive agency, working in fantastic, well‑resourced science laboratories and teaching students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

We are looking for Science Teachers across any specialism. You will be working across both Key Stage 3/KS3 and Key Stage 4/KS4, including exam preparation for GCSEs. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, offering continuity when their usual teacher is absent. Many of these roles can lead to a longer‑term position and even a permanent opportunity.

• Teach Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, covering all core subjects.
• Prepare and deliver exam‑ready lessons for GCSEs.
• Provide continuity and support during short‑term absences of regular teachers.
• Maintain high levels of classroom management and student engagement.

• QTS with Science specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching Science up to Key Stage 4/KS4.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
