Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

This is a novel opportunity to join a Harrogate building services design consultancy working alongside the existing team of Senior Electrical Design Engineers. The practice predominantly works in the residential and student accommodation sectors working directly with developers and contractors taking schemes from initial stages through to handover. They are also developing closer relationships with clients seeking support on non–domestic schemes resulting in projects that include new build schools, office buildings and some refurbishment works.

The novelty here is that the team has a great deal of knowledge and expertise; you'll be working alongside peers without the expectation of taking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer role if you haven't got the experience necessary. You will ideally have a degree and at least three years practical experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, while similarly, you could be working through a degree Apprenticeship or in a mixed role between design and site.

Being able to use Revit is useful and they are keen to speak with passionate people who are keen to develop their skills.

• Work alongside the existing team of Senior Electrical Design Engineers and contribute to schemes from initial stages through to handover.
• Collaborate on residential, student accommodation, and non–domestic projects including new build schools and office buildings, as part of client and contractor teams.
• Develop and apply design concepts within a knowledge-driven team to support project delivery.

• Ideal candidates will have a degree and at least three years practical experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Alternatively, candidates may be working through a degree Apprenticeship or in a mixed role between design and site.
• Experience using Revit is useful; willingness to develop skills is valued.

• 25 days leave plus 3 days for Christmas shutdown
