Estimator, Engineering

On behalf of our client based in Co Antrim, Energis is recruiting for an experienced Estimator.

The successful Estimator will maximise sales opportunities, converting enquiries into orders. You will be responsible for calculating construction cost estimates and will be involved in the planning, development, negotiation and award of a project.

This position will suit an experienced individual with a technical background, proven experience in estimating and the motivation to contribute to company success. This role offers flexible working hours.

Job responsibilities:

• Work within the estimating team to price and secure projects.
• Provide regular information to management in terms of current projects, order statuses, tenders completed, stock etc.
• Completion of tender documentation and submission of the tender
• Ensure that customer enquiries, Bills of Quantities and tenders are priced accurately from drawings and bar schedules and in the required timeframe.
• Negotiate and communicate in a professional and technical manner with clients and contractors in order to maintain and develop commercial relationships.
• Organise and attend client meetings
• Provide win win solution for the customer & the business
• Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure orders are processed successfully within customer requirements, budget and on program.

C
riteria:

• Previous experience as an estimator within the engineering, construction or manufacturing sectors
• Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and engineering information
• Effective in project management and exceeding customer expectations.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent It Skills including Microsoft Office packages

Salary is negotiable depending upon experience and in the region of £40k.
