Ballymena Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Working Pattern: 5-Week Rotating Days & Nights (12-Hour Shifts) Join a Modern Manufacturing Environment VANRATH are partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Ballymena area to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their established engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that continues to invest in its people, technology and production facilities.

You'll be responsible for maintaining highly automated manufacturing equipment, responding to breakdowns, delivering preventative maintenance and contributing to continuous improvement projects that enhance reliability and productivity. The Opportunity Working closely with the Engineering Manager and wider maintenance team, you'll ensure production machinery and site services operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. What You'll Be Doing Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services.

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to maximise equipment uptime. Complete servicing, repairs and overhaul work on manufacturing equipment. Support installation and commissioning activities for new machinery and equipment. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing performance. Ensure machinery is maintained to a safe and efficient operating standard. Monitor and maintain site utilities and supporting infrastructure. Record maintenance activities accurately using the company's maintenance management system.

Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency. About You You'll be an experienced engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We're keen to speak with candidates who have: A recognised engineering qualification or completed apprenticeship. A minimum of three years' post-apprenticeship experience within manufacturing or production. Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills.

Experience maintaining automated production equipment. A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. An electrical bias would be advantageous, although mechanically biased engineers with strong electrical troubleshooting experience are also encouraged to apply. What's on Offer?
